Item 1 A collection of items that were needed in the pantry about a
100 years ago. Described from the top going clockwise.
A bread raising tin to keep the bread from getting a draft. Diameter is 18"
at the top (plus the handles) and 9"high. Good condition. Price: $24.00
Steaming tin-has holes in the bottom for steam. Diameter is 11" and 6"
high. Very
good condition. Price: $12.00.
Cherry stoner (pitter). The raised letters are: Enterprise Mfg Co. No 2
1577. Excellent condition $24.00
Apple Peeler. Well used and a little stiff, but all there. Price $24.00
Popcorn Popper with a 14" long handle to hold over the a fire or hot stove.
Very good condition. Price: $15.00

Item 2 Three inexpensive and interesting pieces. At the rear. There is cast iron blacksmith's tongs to hold items over the fire or at the anvil. The middle item is ice tongs of cast iron for handling ice chunks, home delivered by the ice man. At the front is a hand forged scythe for reaping grain. It was used to cut the stalks, that were then tied into small bundles. (size of the tongs at the rear are 25ins/65cms.) |

Item 3 Three pottery collectables. On the left is a spittoon. Center is a jar 10ins/25cms tall, made by Glass Bros pottery of London Ont. It had many uses-one was to hold dried apples for instance. On the left is a small bowl with Bennington glaze. |

Item 4 Three pottery jugs, that were common and necessary for daily use in holding various liquids. They have no markings and vary in size and color. prices; $15, $30 and $45. (lt-Rt.) |

Item 5 Kerosene Heater: very good condition and clean.. These small portable heaters were used in open areas for some warmth. This one was used briefly to warm up area around new moms and their babes - pigs, sheep for instance. Made in Canada |

Item 6 Farm tools On the left is a planter, used for planting corn, peas, etc. Still works and beats bending over if you have a big area to cover. It still has its original red paint. Price $35.00. On the right is a hay cutter - features a second handle positioned to give better balance (you might say a cut above the cheaper varieties) This was used to cut the hay up in the hay mow to shove down the hole in the floor orer side of the wall, to feed the animals.

Item 7 Pottery jardiniere in a very pleasing raised pattern of a plant. There are no maker's marks. It is 10ins/25cms high and 9.5ins/23.4cms high. |
