Canada Art Pottery;
George Emery apprenticed in England at the Wedgwood factory. He had immigrated to Hamilton, ON by 1920. He fashioned "jasper ware" under the name of Canada Art Pottery. He marked pieces with that mark; also ECANADA and Hamilton, Canada. Business was not one of his skills and he closed in 1952. I was first introduced to this pottery when it was drastically reduced for sale in the early 1950's. My Mom bought a 10" center piece bowl for 69 cents at a gift store in Paris ON. - Ruth

Tip: - Avoid tank dipped furniture...
It is impossible to get a good finish on it and the odour never leaves.

Tip: - When storing textiles...
Folding puts stress on the threads at the fold edges,so try to roll items or refold frequently.
Don't store in plastic or paper. Plastic holds moisture in and contact with paper (unless acid free) or wood causes discoloration.
I prefer well rinsed white cotton such as sheets or pillow cases for protection..
If plastic is used at all, cover the surface with cotton. To protect exposed surfaces from dust and light fading, cover with light weight cotton.
